Football News: Napoli vs Catania Clubs heading in different directions square off at the Stadio Olimpico when in-form Napoli face relegation-threatened Lazio.

Napoli travel to Rome looking for their third win in a row as they chase a Champions League place.

Last weekend's 1-0 triumph over Catania saw Walter Mazzarri's side climb to fifth in the standings, level on 48 points with Juventus.

The Naples-based outfit will look to put further pressure on Palermo for fourth place and the last Champions League qualifying spot.

Napoli are three points behind the Sicilian giants with seven games remaining.

"I am happy with what we have achieved so far and we must continue to play with the same determination," said Napoli defender Gianluca Grava.

"We have to continue on this path and fight to finish in the top four knowing that it's going to be difficult.

"Palermo are strong but I think we will have to fight it out with all the teams that are up there with us in the table."

Three weeks ago Napoli struggled at Bologna, who were then rooted in the relegation zone, and lost 2-1.

Mazzarri will not make the mistake of underestimating a team in the lower regions of the table again.

"We cannot think we will win it just because the league table says so," he said.

"I look at the present and see a Lazio side who overwhelmed AC Milan and will go to the encounter with the same attitude against us."

Saturday's game will have a special significance for Lazio coach Edy Reja.

For the first time since leaving Napoli in 2009 after four seasons at the helm of the Azzurri outfit, he will face his former club.

"Napoli will always remain in my heart," said Reja. "I wish them the best of luck in reaching the Champions League qualifying places."

But Napoli can expect no favours from Reja as Lazio appear to have found their way in recent weeks after a dismal campaign.

After back-to-back wins, Lazio held AC Milan on Sunday to a 1-1 draw.

Their improved performance at Milan has left Reja optimistic about the future, even if his side remain just two places and five points above the drop zone.

"The draw in Milan confirms that my team is getting stronger," said Reja.

"It was an important result for us against a team that is fighting for the Scudetto.

"Now we face a battle against my former club.

"Saturday's game will be a great one between two sides that are going through a good spell."

With Lazio yet to face Roma in the city derby later this month as well as Inter Milan and relegation-threatened Bologna, Livorno and Udinese in the final stage of the campaign, Reja knows his team cannot afford to make any mistakes on Saturday.

"We must give continuity to our results," he said.

The good news for the hosts is that striker Sergio Floccari and Sebastiano Siviglia will return to play having missed last weekend's encounter through injury.

Fabiano Santacroce, Erwin Hoffer and Andrea Dossena are all missing for Napoli.
